Eating Disorder Awareness Week
National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (NEDAW) highlights the seriousness of eating disorders across the United States. During the week, White Pine Center for Healing encourages communities to increase awareness of eating disorders and engage in conversations about healthy eating and body image.
Tower Lighting Ceremony
Meet and speak with the staff of White Pine Center for Healing, northwest Pennsylvania’s only center specializing in the treatment and prevention of eating disorders, body image issues, and trauma. White Pine is lighting the Bicentennial Tower in blue and green lights in honor of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week from Monday February 26th to Sunday March 3rd and is hosting a press conference as a part of the annual lighting ceremony. Join us in raising awareness about the local nonprofit’s work in the community and shining a light on eating disorder awareness.

Our children are bombarded with unhealthy and unrealistic body images on a daily basis. How do we help them navigate and stay healthy in mind and body?
Join us at the Eastside YMCA on 1/25/24 from 5:30pm-6:45pm for a free class including both Confident Body, Confident Child and Love Your Tree to learn strategies designed to promote healthy body image.
These evidence-based programs help to foster a positive environment in which children can develop body confidence and a relaxed and healthy relationship with food.
