Important Announcements: Update on Treatment Services

At White Pine Center for Healing, it is our priority to help as many people as we can, in the best ways that we can. We are always searching for the best ways that we can serve our community and those who need our resources.

We’re excited to announce that we have moved to the Mercy Anchor Community Center! This partnership allows us to continue to grow and expand our reach when providing our services to the community.

In addition to the new location, we are also transitioning from providing direct clinical care to becoming a resource center to help people find the appropriate treatment they need. The demand for our services is so great that we have had to make this shift to better serve all of those who have been on our waiting list, and many more. This way, we will be able to get more people the help they need.

To this end, we are providing a list of clinicians who are known to us on our website to guide those who need help. You can access this page, here. We will also be continuing to provide support groups and other support services that individuals can pair with clinical treatment.

Our new online resource will be dedicated to body image, weight stigma, and related issues to provide information and support services to the community.

While we are developing the online resource, we are also continuing to look at partnering with a local healthcare entity to provide a more comprehensive program for eating disorders and body image issues in Northwest PA. We are hopeful that this partnership will become a reality, and are looking forward to significantly expanding our reach to help even more people!

Not only are we working on expanding our reach with the online resource, but also through our prevention and outreach programming as well as advocacy efforts. Every year we present to more and more students in multiple school districts to help provide Erie’s youth with the tools they need to foster positive body image. We will also be increasing our reach in the nonprofit sector and introducing these programs to Erie-area businesses to bring these discussions to the Erie workforce.
