Outpatient Groups

HeartMath

HeartMath is an evidence-based technique that is based upon the science of heart signals which have a significant effect on brain function. The heart signals influence emotional processing as well as higher cognitive faculties such as attention, perception, memory, and problem-solving. Clients will learn HeartMath techniques to bring their mind and body into “coherence,” which is defined as increased order and harmony in his/her mind, emotions, and body for clearer decision-making and lowered stress levels.

Intuitive Eating

The aim of this group is to serve those clients who have been able to maintain stability and are considered in partial or full remission of disordered eating symptoms. The focus of this group is to nurture the body rather than starve it, encourage reconnection with the body’s innate signals of hunger, fullness, and food preference by following the ten principles of Intuitive Eating.

Eat Breathe Thrive

This live and interactive course integrates yoga and experiential activities to help you eat mindfully, build resilience, and feel better about your body.

Family Therapy (Adolescents)

It can be difficult to understand and support a child that struggles with disordered eating. This group educates parents and helps to acquire that skills needed to manage their child’s eating disorder. Parents will learn how to develop strategies to manage the eating disorder and help their child to learn how to cope with difficult situations and emotions rather than using the eating disorder as a coping mechanism. Other topics include family communication, perfectionism and emotion regulation.

Gifts of Imperfection

This group is based on Brené Brown’s book that focuses on how to overcome fear and self-consciousness and build an “imperfect life” while finding and practicing true self-authenticity.
